Apex Downtown Business Association is going mobile!
We are working with a local technology company part-owned by an
Apex resident to try out a new way to send information about
downtown Apex events straight to your mobile phone.
What kind of information will I receive?
•
Reminders on downtown events: Receive short messages
reminding you of upcoming downtown events.
•
In-Event Updates and Promotions: Be informed of schedule
and special offers by downtown merchants during the events
(i.e. Peak Fest).
•
Entertainment and Shows: Get a quick reminder about downtown entertainment including Halle Cultural Center
events, Concerts on the Campus and more.
How does it work?
1.
Download the free miPlaces iPhone or Android app to your smartphone. (There are also SMS-Text and email digest
options.)
2.
Log in using your Facebook ID. (Non-Facebook log in options are coming soon.)
3.
From the main screen, tap ‘F’ (for ‘Follow’). Then Tap the bar at the top to add new ‘Follows.’ Finally select Apex
downtown Business Association as a merchant that you wish to ‘Follow.’
4.
This will take you to a screen to select from the customized message categories specific to Apex Downtown Business
Association.
5.
Get a quick buzz and receive Apex Downtown Business Association messages through the miPlaces app.
